Half Day

“This is a super fun and educational child-friendly tour, especially designed for the amazement of the young ones and thus, the happiness of the parents, who are looking to add another level of fun into their family travels.”

Both adults and children will greatly enjoy each activity as they awaken their sense of adventure while trying new experiences, acting as great role models for their children to help them try new things. These new activities involve grasping the history in one of the oldest barracks of the city, running under and perhaps even through tunnels of water, tasting new flavors and learning about the best chocolate in the world, all in a fun and amusing way. This day will most definitely be an unforgettable one with lots of memories to share for a lifetime!

The old, colonial area of Quito is home to many hidden adventures that not everyone is allowed to discover. In this tour, a treasure chest full of different activities for the enjoyment of all ages has been prepared, especially to captivate the interest of the little ones. For example, a museum showing various characters that played an important role in Quito’s history can indeed be fun if it means exploring ancient tunnels and walls that seem to whisper secrets among wax figures. Climbing on top of a hill where, apart from having one of the best views of the city, you can have hands-on experiences while learning more about the study and conservation of water. Open spaces, games, a room of soap bubbles and natural trails with native plants to walk through create a perfect blend of nature!

Later on, help your taste buds discover something new with a visit to one of the traditional ice cream shops to try “helado de paila”. The process to make this special ice cream is not only very interesting, but the intense and varied flavors from Ecuador’s unique fruits like Tomate de arbol, maracuya, guayaba and taxo, make for an explosion of color and flavor!

Finally, you and your family will discover why Ecuador is home to the best chocolate in the world. Located in one of the most traditional streets in the city, with shiny cobblestones and pretty balconies adorned with flowers, you’ll be absorbed in one the most entertaining and interactive sites. The aromas coming from each step of the chocolate production in a family-owned artisanal cacao workshop will be a delight to your senses.

Craig Godsoe

Hello Pablo, The trip has been excellent. It was a logistically complicated trip, but having assistance at every transfer point greatly simplified things. The two guides Javier (Quito); Allan (Guayaquil), went above and beyond. The crew of Horizon was also excellent. I am grateful for all your hard work, which led to an easy and smooth trip.

This was a wonderful trip for anyone Who loves nature, plants, and birds. Sealife. I did not have high expectations as I let my sister make all the bookings as this was her bucket list trip. The catamaran was clean and accommodating for two people l. I loved its many power outlets and a small vanity outside the water closet for hair care.

At first, I was a little afraid because I found it on the internet, and there was not much information on Spanish websites, but after some research, we decided to buy it and were not disappointed.
