Kjetil Haugan is the owner of Columbus Travel. He is a Norwegian citizen who has lived in Ecuador since 1994. Kjetil has a Graduate degree in Organization Development from England and an Undergraduate degree in Management from Norway. Kjetil has worked as Director of the Olympic Villages during the Lillehammer (Norway 1994) and the Atlanta (USA 1996) Olympic Games. He speaks Spanish, English and the Scandinavian languages fluently.

Luisa has a degree in tourism and administration from UTE university in Quito. She is the Commercial Manager of Columbus Travel. She works for Columbus since 1997. Luisa speaks English and Spanish.

Jessica holds an Engineering degree in Tourist Business Administration and Management of Protected Areas. She is currently the President of Columbus Travel and has created the Columbus Home Sales Department which she manages, as well as the interior décor and design of our lodge and cruises. Jessica has been working in the tourism business since 1996 and for Columbus Travel since 2001. She is also in charge of Palmazul Artisan Designed Hotel & Spa, which is also a part of Columbus Travel Group.

Ivonne holds a degree in tourism administration from the University of Tourist Specialties (UCT) in Quito. She has been working in tourism since 2003 and has all the experience to work together to arrange a once in a life-time experience. Her professional training has given her the opportunity to visit the most outstanding places in Ecuador including Galapagos. She has been assigned for Galapagos and Ecuador sales at Columbus Travel.

Vladimir was born in Ambato and raised in New Jersey. While in the United States he studied Marketing and holds a degree from Raritan Valley Community College. Vladimir is now one of the Sales Executives for Columbus Travel providing personal assistance to our clients.

Pablo is a tourist guide and has studied in Business Administration. He has been working in tourism for more than 8 years. His expert knowledge about the Galapagos Islands, Ecuador and Peru ensures the best experiences as his specialty is compiling specially made tours for families and adventure enthusiasts. When he is not organizing trips for his clients at the office, he can be found traveling around Ecuador searching for new and exciting adventures.

Christian used to be a Guide. He also has over 13 years experience in arranging and selling tours. He has a wealth of knowledge on the Galapagos as well as the tours on the Mainland. Whatever your interests, he is sure to be able to tailor a complete vacation experience to meet your needs. Christian speaks fluently English, Spanish and French.

Francisco graduated from UTPL in Tourism Administration Management. He has over 11 years of experience in Destination Management Companies in Ecuador. He has extensive knowledge of tourism infrastructure and services in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. Francisco also speaks English fluently. He provides personalized assistance to Columbus Travel’s exclusive clientele in our Sales Department by organizing their dream holidays.

Rodrigo holds a degree in business and administration from the Universidad Salesiana in Quito. He is encharge of web development and marketing. and also is the Logistics director of Columbus Travel.

Andrés studied at the Metropolitan Institute of Design with a degree in Multi-Media Design and focuses mainly on projects which involve audiovisuals that include web, video, animation and illustration. Andrés has also completed other media courses at CIESPAL, and applies these studies in the Marketing Department for Columbus Travel, Simon Bolivar and the Simon Bolivar Fundación. Andrés also acts as Web Coordinator on specific sites

Soledad graduated at the University Tecnologica Equinoccial (UTE) in Tourist Administration. She works in the operation department and does everything related to land and cruise operation in Columbus Travel.

Isabel focused her high school studies in Eco-Tourism and worked as a restaurant cashier at the Arasha Inn for about a year. She then finished her studies at the University "Instituto Superior del Consejo" in the Province of Pichincha, Ecuador, with a Technical Degree in Business Administration. Isabel now works for Columbus Travel in Operations.

Ximena studied accounting and audit at Universidad Tecnologica Equinoccial (UTE). She's in charge of the income of all the companies.

She works in the Accounting department of Columbus Travel. She is studying at the Universidad Central del Ecuador. It is the first time she works in a travel agency.

He is 28 years old, he is studying Accounting and Audit at the University. He works in the Accounting department of Columbus Travel, and in charge of paying and collecting our suppliers.

Marylin completed her degree in two years at Ecuador’s Central University and is currently working in Accounting, serving as an Assistant in Finance and Assistant Accountant for Columbus Travel Group.

Martha started in the company on December 2007 in the Financial Department. She holds a degree in Commerce and Administration. This is her first time working at a Travel Agency which she finds it very interesting.

Natali has studied accounting and she is currently our front desk assistant in the reception area for the entire company and provides customer service to all internal and external clients of Columbus Travel Group.

Jose works with Luis, he buys tickets and make sure that we receive all the documents for the passengers.

Fernanda graduated from high school with a concentration in Social Sciences from Colegio José Martí and plans to continue her studies focusing on a University degree in Psychology. Fernanda provides assistance to the Vice-President and Human Resources department of Columbus Travel Group.
